Our Buchan Offshore Wind Team recently volunteered with Turning the Plastic Tide to remove waste from Rattray Head beach near St Fergus on the Aberdeenshire coast.
At Buchan Offshore Wind we are always looking to engage with the local communities in which we work, even including cleaning up the local beaches!
Together with volunteers from Balfour Beatty plc, we managed to clear 1620 kg of waste from the beach, filling the trailer of the tractor with tires, ropes and plastic alongside other waste that has been washed ashore or left on the beach.

The team enjoyed a fantastic day out and were rewarded with some rare Scottish sunshine, all whilst making a significant difference to the local area.
