Buchan Offshore Wind Joins the PowerHouse

Buchan Offshore Wind recently joined the PowerHouse, the skills and innovation vehicle of the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport (ICF), represented by Buchan’s Supply Chain Manager Adam Hollis on its board. By joining the PowerHouse board, Buchan Offshore Wind is demonstrating its commitment to delivering training modules that will be necessary to develop skills relevant for the floating offshore wind sector within the region.

The first in person board meeting and PowerHouse strategy workshop was held in Invergordon on April 18, with other representatives from ports, developers and training providers attending.

Adam Hollis said: “In order to deliver one of the largest floating offshore wind farms in the world, we will require a strong talent pool in the area. We are therefore delighted to support organisations such as the PowerHouse that encourage young individuals within the Highlands and Islands region to join the renewable energy industry through their professional development schemes.”
